Talca is a city in Chile about 250 miles south of Santiago, with a population similar to that of St. Johns County. (Sounds great, except for the fact that I'm 4 hours away from the nearest Starbucks. I'll have to find someplace even better)
I will be attending Colegio San Ignacio de Talca, a Catholic school. Yes, I will wear a uniform. From my arrival in August until December, the beginning of "summer" break. Winter in Chile is from June to September. I will be a junior, or 3ero medio, as it is known in Chile. After I go back to school in March, I will be a senior... again. Last time, best time, right?
I will be living with the Mendez family. They sound quite nice. Their daughter, Tamara, is about my age, but she will be on exchange in Yarmouth, Massachusetts (Brrrrrrrr), so I will be an only child for the first time in nearly 18 years! (Remember those 2 minutes that I was alive before McKenna was born? Yeah, neither do I.)
